A song from South Africa that has gone around the world and been endorsed by presidents and priests has become the sound of the pandemic for millions across southern Africa. Last week the Jerusalem dance challenge was endorsed by the South African President Cyril Ramaphosa ahead of the country’s plan to open up to tourism on 1 October. Master KG’s Jerusalema has indeed become one of South Africa’s all-time greatest hits. and we can proudly admit that Generations: The Legacy Gog Flo and Lucy dance has won the hearts of their fans.

After President Cyril Ramaphosa challenged the nation to take part in the #JerusalemaDanceChallenge on Heritage Day, many young and old took South Africans including celebrities took part in the dance phenomenon.

So many videos were shared online with people dancing to the Jerusalema song. One of the videos that stirred mzansi was that of Generations: The Legacy Gog Flo and Lucy dance to Master KG’s Jerusalema song.

Kgaogelo Moagi, known professionally as Master KG is a South African musician and record producer. His album Skeleton Move achieved acclaim including an AFRIMMA Award for Best Artist/Group in the African Electro category. He is also known as the pioneer of “Balobedu” dance.
Master KG has been having a good year and it was recently revealed that he has so far made over R3.5 million in YouTube revenue from his Jerusalema song alone.  The sudden reaches also made the 24-year-old DJ spend a little on this money that he worked hard for as he was reported to have spoiled himself with a red Ferrari a few days ago
