Muvhango is a South African television soap opera, created by Duma Ndlovu. It is broadcast on the public TV channel SABC 2. The first episode was aired on 7 April 1997. It was the first Tshivenda language TV drama, but later became multilingual in order to showcase that languages and cultures of South Africa should be used to unite rather than divide.

Monday 2 September 2024
Episode 16 

Dr Ximba is questioned by the police about her knowledge of her husband’s affair with Susan, but she denies knowing about it, making her a challenging suspect.

Avhatakali admits to the affair but denies shooting Susan, raising questions about whether his wife might be involved.

Muvhango’s assignment business flourishes as Elelwani brings in a friend as a customer, but he announces this will be his last job in the business.

Susan emerges from her coma, but her first word, “Lebo,” goes unheard by those around her.

Episode 17  

Dr Ximba and Avhatakali return home to a turbulent environment, with their son, Sakhile, expressing deep hatred for his father.

Ndiwavho tries to calm a panicking Vhutshilo, who is distressed by the leaked videos of his mother.

Ndemedzo fears Teboho might be developing genuine feelings, but Teboho insists that she cannot win James over as long as she remains a guest in his home.

Dr Ximba provides Avhatakali with a press statement to memorize, denying the affair and claiming the video does not feature him.

Susan is devastated upon seeing this public declaration of Avhatakali’s undying love for his wife.

Episode 18 

Dr Ximba reassures her concerned son that their domestic issues will not overshadow his graduation celebration.

Susan, struggling with a speech impediment, manages to say “Lebo’s” name, which alarms Shaz.

Shaz informs the police that Lebo was the shooter, while Muvhango helps Elelwani by providing a doctor’s note to extend her assignment deadline.

James decides to move Teboho’s belongings into his bedroom, signalling that he no longer wants her to be just a guest in his life.

Episode 19 

Avhatakali is taken aback when Dr. Ximba packs his bags and orders him to move to the guest bedroom.

Ndemedzo tries to learn more about Imani, and Bubbles eagerly shares all the details.

Ndiwavho catches Muvhango in fraudulent academic activities, warning him of possible expulsion.

James is shocked when Teboho introduces Ndemedzo and reveals their plan to neutralise the Vhakwevho’s power.

Friday 6 September 2024
Episode 20

Imani arrives with a new hairstyle to catch Ndemedzo’s eye and invites him to Sakhile’s graduation party as her plus one, while flirting with him.

Avhatakali plans a special surprise for Dr Ximba at the graduation party with Bubbles’ help.

Mulalo expresses concern that Teboho might be manipulating James, but Lindelani teases him about his jealousy.

Sakhile is thrilled to walk into his graduation party, which exceeds his expectations.

The graduation party takes a dramatic turn when police arrest someone for the attempted murder of Susan.
