Will Games of Thrones season 8 be the final season?

Unfortunately the answer is yes. The president of programming at HBO Michael Lombardo has previously stated that Game Of Thrones would end after eight seasons.

“David and Dan are feeling there’s probably two more years after season six, that’s what we’re looking at right now,” he said in January before season 7 aired.

And in June last year, HBO’s Casey said: The showrunners have a very specific plan about the number of seasons they want to do. If I could get them to do more I would take 10 more seasons. But we take their lead on what they [need] to make the best version of their show.”

How many episodes will season 8 of ‘Game of Thrones’ have?

We are all so worried to learn that the final season would also be its shortest. For the first six seasons, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have always delivered 10 episodes. Season 7 had seven episodes, and as mentioned previously, season 8 will have just six episodes.

How long will each episode of season 8 of ‘Game of Thrones’ be?

The silver lining might lay in the fact that each episode could possibly far exceed the normal, hour-long running time. The general opinion from various cast members is that each episode will run from 70 minutes-to-90 minutes long.

How much will each episode of season 8 of ‘Game of Thrones’ cost?

Variety has revealed that each episode of the final season will cost $15 million, making the final budget for the season a whopping $90 million. For context, when the show launch, the budget was more in line with other HBO dramas, with a per-episode budget of $6 million.
