Buhumi Mhlongo daughter of Somizi was born in  9 February 1995, making her 25 years of age.Apart from living in the shadow of her vibrant father Somizi , the young lady had managed to make a name for herself in the acting industry.She has been featured in SABC keeping score and BET Africa series Dream : The Lebo Mathesa story.

Besides acting the young lady holds a degree in Law.

Bahumi has opened up about suffering from an incurable disease called Lympedema or lympatic obstruction. Its where excess fluids collects in tissues causing swelling , it usually affects arms and legs .The disease is incurable but it can be managed. Bahumi opened up about how this affects her life and the critisisms she faces due to her condition.
