New Actors Who Will Be Joining Uzalo Soon

SABC 1 popular soap, Uzalo will be introducing new actors who will start appearing on screen this week and South Africans are eager to find out more about them.

Uzalo, which is the leading show in South Africa with a lot of viewership, has received some criticism though most especially about their storyline, which most viewers find it boring and way of track. They even threatened to boycott watching it. It will be remembered that last year, SABC gave Stained glass productions, which is the company that produces Uzalo, a warning.

This comes after a lot of complaints poured in at SABC, for this reason, the public broadcaster had to issue out a warning to the producers that either they change their set or they will be canned. Uzalo also faced a predicament late last year as it was on the verge of being canceled for good. When it contract ended, SABC was not adamant about renewing it. It took them some weeks not to record any episodes while they were at home.

Fortunately, the executive producer, Gugulethu Zuma Ncube, who is the daughter of former President Jacob Zuma, intervened and had a breakthrough. SABC then renewed their contract and it was unbelievable when they did not renew it like normal with a year but they renewed it with five years of which it was something done for the first time at the SABC.

Many actors though have lost Uzalo this year which includes, Baby Cele, Dawn Thandeka King, Siyabonga Shine, and Jet Novuka, just to name a few. Dawn Thandeka King’s exit was going to have a lot of implications on the show as she is practically the face of the show. She has been with the show since its inception and her exit was going to have dire consequences for Uzalo.

This is why they have had to carefully strategize her exit. The way she left was very high as they brought in former actors includes Khaya’GC’Dladla, Nokuthula Mabika, and Ntokozo ‘TK’ Dlamini. They only came so that MaNgcobo’s exit can be on a high note.

Even after this was planned but still, Uzalo lacks that kind of spice to keep viewers intact. It could be the reason why they are introducing a new cast. It is expected that these two actors will start appearing this week.

The news was revealed by the entertainment commentator, Phil Mphela on Twitter and Noluthando confirmed it. However, I had mixed reactions from tweeps.
