A woman told the story of how losing her virginity ended up being the worst day of her life. She shared on her Instagram:
“On September 9th I lost my virginity. I started having urinary tract infections, something I had never had before. I trusted somebody with my body and he cheated. I don’t know how long he could have had it but my life changed forever. I’ve been in the hospital for 3 days in pain and taking a lot of medication.
I didn’t want to post this but I feel like something needs to be said and done or it will happen to another young woman. I have to deal with taking medication for the rest of my life. I have been in so much pain and I’m depressed. I waited to have sex only to end up with HIV and herpes.
People are sick out there and I need to spread the word because I don’t want other people to end up like me. I need people to pray for me. Some of you are going to laugh but this is serious. I’ve only ever been with one person and I know the person who gave me these diseases.
Use protection and make sure your partner is loyal to you. I have to live with this for the rest of my life. This is unfair and I am mad. The doctor said as long as I take my medication I can’t spread it to others.”
