Zozibini Tunzi shares throwback pageant picture

Zozibini Tunzi born 18 September 1993 is a South African model and beauty pageant tittle holder who was crowned Miss Universe 2019.She is the third woman from South Africa to win the tittle and the first woman since Leila Lopes was crowned Miss Universe 2011.

Zozibini Tunzi joined a number of female celebrities in sharing throwback pics of themselves in honour of international day of the girl child.

The beauty queen opted for a photo of herself competing in a pageant at the age of 11 years old.

“I was competing in a small community pageant and I had made to the top 5 ,this was my favourite part of the competition because I got to speak ” Zozibini said of the photo .

She continued :” I couldn’t wait to show people what I had learnt from all the books I got from my grandmother and from our tiny community library . I was unafraid because I had the greatest weapons: Education and a dream!”

In the picture , little Zozibini is wearing a shiny silver dress complete with white stockings . She ended her post with an encouraging message to girls around the world.

” To every young girl this is from 11 years old me .You are an incredible force, don’t let that spark die ,to every woman… you are doing incredible job keeping those promises you made to yourself as a young girl.”
