Nomvelo Makhanya (born 24 April 1996), is a South African actress and singer. She is best known for her roles in the television serials Isibaya, Soul City, and Scandal! Makhanya is a well-known South African actress and musician.

Nomvelo is best known on Scandal ETV soap opera as Lindiwe Ngema but she also participated in several of the great Mzansi shows Soul City and Isibaya.

In her personal life, Nomvelo is from Kwa Zulu Natal province in a place known as INkandla, but her family quickly moved to Johannesburg. Nomvelo is currently 25 years old, as she was born on the 25th of April 1996.

She joined the National School of Arts (NSA) in Braamfontein, Johannesburg under the guidance of her mother.
