The Minister of Social Development, Lindiwe Daphney Zulu, will address the nation concerning the Social Relief of Distress Grant. Remember, at the beginning of the National Lockdown, President Cyril Ramaphosa explained that SRD grant would be temporary and it would only be granted out for only six months. The six months will be ending the end of October.
However, Lindiwe Zulu will be addressing the nation on the Social Relief grant and apparently the SRD beneficiaries will receive their payments even in November 2020.
The Social Development minister will be focusing on reducing the unemployment rate in our country as more people have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mrs Zulu has also been working with her officials in making sure that South African citizens receive help when it comes to their basic needs, and this includes a shelter for the homeless people.

Many of the SRD beneficiaries who get paid through the Post Office have experienced problems with their payments. This is as the Post Office sometimes runs out of cash leading to beneficiaries having to return home and come back the next day.
